Senior Property Accountant (232020)

As a Senior Property Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our industrial property portfolio. You will manage a portfolio of assets with a flexible hybrid work structure, requiring at least two/three days per week in our Hoboken, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Enter, review, and post monthly accruals.
  • Support property and asset managers with monthly variance reports and tenant billing reports.
  • Oversee accounts payable to ensure correct G/L coding by the AP team.
  • Monitor the accounts receivable process, including cash receipts and tenant billing adjustments.
  • Review and validate recurring monthly rental billing reports for accuracy against budgets.
  • Prepare Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant property accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including V-lookups, Pivot Tables, and Sum-ifs.
  • Experience with Yardi software is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
